Colors for foundation and powder are divided between: C- Yellow, Golden Tones.(suitable for the majority of the pop.) N- Neutral more pink, less yellow. These color catagories are then graduated numerically with 1 being the lightest and 10 the darkest. Studiofix $19 US A powder foundation applied dry with a brush, (for sheer coverage) or sponge, (for heavier coverage). A favorite. Especially for those with oily skin. Mineral oil and fragrance free, but does contain talc. Satin Finish $18 US Moisturizing, dewy finish for normal to dry skin. Matte Finish $20 US No-shine finish for normal to oily skin.(Does contain oil for ease of application) EP-T $28 US Environmental Protective Tinted Day Emulsion -Tinted Moisturizer w/ SPF 8, sheer coverage. Good for even oily skin. Concealor $10.50 US Comes in a small pot. It is conceantrated, so use sparingingly. Some like to mixd it with eye cream or moisturizer to thin out the consistency of the product. Try scraping a small amount into you hand, the heat from your hand will help with application. Use a small amount applied with concealor brush. Loose Powder $18 US Defintely one of the better quality loose powders out there. Not the best, compared to Bobbi Brown ($30), T. LeClerc ($45), Laura Mercier($30), but isn't as hard on the wallet either. Not talc-free. Pressed Powder $ US Comes in a round, matte, dark gray compact. Blot Powder: $13 US Three shades only. Light, Medium and Dark. Some like it, and can't live without it, other hate it. Most consider it too smudgy. Can be tacky, but lasts long. Intense shine. Now comes in colors: Desire: sheer blackberry(exactly like the desire lipstick) Lust: nudey pinky Greed: red with tinge of brown Nailpolish $8 Abstract Alumina: silver Aura Bubbles: light shimmery iced pink Echo Beach: very nude Glacier Gloss - Complement to Hue and Gliss lipsticks Goddess Haze Hush - Complement to Hush Lipstick Jet Kool - Complement to Kool and Hue Lipsticks Ozone - Complement to Ozone lipstick Terra Venus Vista Brushes $6-$65 US Excellent quality brushes. Made of goat, sable, and squirrel hair. A great line to start a brush collection. Not as expensive as Trish McEvoy, the best quality for the money. Every MAC brush will last you a lifetime, no matter hard you abuse, use and wash them. Great for beginners to full time makeup artists. #2: Blush-$25 US- small tapered head that's good for more precise appliaction. (as opposed to #135) #5: Small crease-$ US- Similar to Stila #7. Samll tapered head that fits perfectly in the crease. Could also be used for concealer. #7: an eyeshadow brush #9: Lip Brush- Beautiful construction. Quite different from the standard lip brush in that the brush part is very firm and allows the application to be as soft or as deep as wanted. #17: Retractable Lip Brush-$12 US- Comes in a silver case. Great for travel. You can just load the brush with lipstick, and just take it along for an evening out. No bulky tube of lipstick! #22: Eyeliner/Brow-$16- My favorite brush in the world. A thin, angled liner, for precise lining. But it could easily be smudgy if you decided to. similar to Trish #11 and Stila #13, but is angled and is much easier to use. And it fills brows in perfectly. #24: A Mascara "spoolie"-$ US- Supposedly to groom brows and eyelashes. Quite worthless actually, any mascara wand would do. #29: an eyeshadow brush #101: Powder Brush-$36 US- very full and supersoft, great for blending an all over powder #135: Blush/Powder Brush-goat hair-$25 US- Full brush can be used for subtle blush and controlle application of loose powder. #140: Smaller version of the #141 #141: Slanted eyeshadow brush-squirrel hair-$26 US- Extremely veratile. Can be used all over. On the lid, crease, brow bone, and smudgy liner. You could even use it for crows. Soft and tapered, makes crease work a breeze. #142: larger version of the #141 The following are available only at MAC freestanding stores. They are part of the MAC professional line. Full Coverage Foundation Densely pigmented. Comes in the regular colors. Lip Mixes $9 US each Available only at MAC freestanding stores. For all of those who love to mix up new colors. They are small tubes of liquid pigment that are very versatile. They come in the following pigments: white, black, blue, burgundy, olive, orchre, green, hot pink, lavender, crimson and orange and in the following bases, gloss and frost. You can also get a set of nine for $90 US. Pro Colour Compacts Compacts that hold eyeshadow and blush single pans that are held in by magnets. These are only available at MAC free-standing stores.
